Happy New Year…!!

Have a Blessed New Year everyone…!

Well…today is the last day of 2011…the year seems to zoom by…

Here are some of the highlights & lowlights of the year:

Highlights:

Sweetie changed school & she like the new school…the transition was much easier than what I expected…

Cutie learnt to crawl…walk…talk…I know this is a natural thing…but its still a highlight cos I got to see them happening…

Went to Hong Kong (& Disneyland)

Finally completed the shawl for my mum…took me a super long time…

Lowlights:

Cutie has been having this poo problem…sigh…

The last quarter of the year was really bad for us…we all took turns falling sick…

Sweetie seems to be having mood swing recently…for the month of Dec…I’ve not been able to find out what happened…

How have 2011 been for u…?

Merry Christmas to all of u..!

We went to Hong Kong for a week…was quite okie…not as good as what I expected…

Sweetie fell sick on the 1^st day of the trip…slight fever + bad cough…she threw up 3 nites…she didn’t really like the food there – I’m not sure if its due to the sickness or she just didn’t like the food (she kept saying the food is salty)

Cutie had runny nose on the 2^nd day of the trip…she was a little grumpy…

We didn’t get to shop as much as we (I) liked…cos it was hard to bring two sick kids around…but I’m really thankful they got well (at least 80% well) by the time we reach Disneyland…

The girls really enjoyed their time in Disneyland…Sweetie got to see Mickey…& we got to know that Cutie (who didn’t have any favourite up to this moment) likes Pluto & Donald Duck (we suspected she like Donald cos he was a duck – she likes duck)

Well if I were to rate this trip…it would most likely be 6 out of 10…

Silly cough is still with me…sigh…I’ve been well for the past 2 days…no cough…not sure why its back…ahhhh…!

Wow….did u all noticed today’s date – 11/11/11…nice…!

Well…another thing that is nice is that we shifted Cutie’s cot into Sweetie’s room…so for the 1^st time (tonite)…Cutie is officially sharing the same room as Sweetie…actually we planned to move her into Sweetie’s room when she’s around 3 years old…but both husband & myself are coughing so badly…& we’re each sleeping with one kid…so we’re spreading our germs to them isn’t it…? What we decided to do is to put both of them together & we’ll sleep outside so we can hear them if either one wakes up or if Cutie falls off the cot (we removed one side of the railings)…we’re still keeping the baby monitor on…but somehow I dun feel comfortable to leave both of them together without any supervision…so sleeping outside is the best method for now…I guess…

Oh good…finally Oct is over…!! But I fell sick (again) on the last day of Oct…sigh…let’s hope Nov treats me better…

Dear October…I’ve only 1 question for u…“Why Are U Still Here..??!!”

Well…for some of u who’ve been reading my previous blog post(s)…I’ve been mentioning that the past few months seems to fly by…but I’m telling u all now…Oct is still here…& I don’t think I welcome it that much…! U see…my family had been sick – last wk of Sept till first wk of Oct…then after one wk of “recovery”…we’re sick again…tis time all 3 of us (the girls & I) are sick at the same time…sigh…I’m really tired…so I’m really waiting / hoping for Oct to move on…

Oh..where has she gone to…? She said that she’ll post on the book she’s been reading (since Sept)…she also mentioned a new theme for October…where did she disappear to…?

Disappear…? Gone missing…? Actually no…I’ve been going somewhere…& where’s that…? The doctor…! In fact…its not 1 doctor but 2 doctors…

It started off with Cutie being sick on 28^th Sept (Wed)…it lasted for 3 days…the longest 3 days of my life…she was crying & crying…she pointed to her head & said “pain”…pointed to her throat & cry…her fever was around 39 degrees…sometimes slightly higher…most of the time hovering around 38.8 degrees…I was so thankful that she seems okie by Sat…but on Sun…guess who came down with fever & sore throat…? Me…! Let me tell u…the next 3 days were horrible…!! The headache…the pain in the throat…I think I caught the bug from Cutie…it took me a longer time to get well…my fever was also around the range of 38.8 degrees…it came down after 2 days but my sore throat & body ache lasted for another 2 days…all throughout the 4 days my headache was very bad…& when I was not having a headache…I felt as it the whole place was spinning round…sigh…

On Thurs…I sent Sweetie to school…they took her temperature & look into her throat (it’s a standard thing)…I was about to leave when the teacher called me…she told me to look into her throat…& I saw little red spots…“Oh No…!!”…the 1^st thing they asked me to do is to get her to a doc to confirm that it’s not HFMD…which we did…thankfully it was not…she just caught the bug from me…so it’s the same thing again…high fever…sore throat…poor Sweetie…! She recovered quite fast too…thank goodness…! Then…husband got the bug…“Ahhhh…!!”

Can u see how ‘frustrated’ I am…? I didn’t get a chance to rest…to take a break…its one after another…sick…sick…sick…sick…so tiring…!!

Well…some good things did happen…when Cutie was sick (the 2^nd day was very bad)…we let Sweetie stay over at my parents’ place for 1 nite…it was her 2^nd time staying over (without me)…she had a great time there…she’s the princess there…made them play pretend – camping & stuff…

(Oh…did I mention her 1^st stay-over at my parents’ place in Sept…? Nope…I didn’t…will do it sometime later…& share a little lesson learnt)

When Sweetie was sick…Cutie stayed over at their place too (for 3 nites)…it was also quite timely…cos I’ve been wanting to wean her off her last feed (the mid-nite feed)…but I never really managed to do it…so the 3 nites without me was also a weaning off time…she had a great time there too…playing with the grandparents (or rather torturing them…hahaa…!)…it was the 1^st time in nearly 2 years…she slept without me beside her…

But if u ask me…I rather not have this experience again…!!

So u see…the 1^st half of Oct was not that great a month for me…

Dear September…I had so much plans for the both of us…was intending to spend most of my available time…cuddling with u…reading books…knitting…or even to go on a romantic “coffee time” with u…but…u moved so fast…I was hoping to be able to hold ur hands…enjoy the moments with u…but…ur hands just brushed past mine…& now…I’m left alone…to face October…I’ve no idea how things are going to be…

PS: For those who are interested to know…I didn’t managed to finish reading the book I planned to finish in September…but I did went for a haircut…managed to go for a swim (once) & to go to the gym (also once)…I intend to complete the book by next week…& hope to share a little of what I’ve learnt from the book…then I’ll move on to my October’s theme…
